What is ACM?


As a proud student chapter of the international Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the AISSMS IOIT ACM Student Chapter is a vibrant and inclusive community at AISSMS Institute of Information Technology. As one of the premier technology-focused organizations in the region, we welcome students from all disciplines and skill levels to collaborate, innovate, and share our passion for technology.

Through a diverse range of initiatives, including flagship events like TENET 2024, IOIT MUN, Tech SIGs, and our monthly coding contest Bit by Bit, we aim to inspire and engage students in cutting-edge domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, virtual reality, web and mobile development, and more. With workshops, speaker panels, hackathons, and competitions, our chapter fosters learning, creativity, and leadership, creating opportunities for all to thrive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

What we do?


An ACM Student Chapter, affiliated with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), primarily focuses on providing a platform for computer science students to network, learn, and develop their skills through organizing technical talks, workshops, coding competitions, and other events, essentially acting as a hub for connecting students with industry professionals and fostering a vibrant computing community within their university.

  • Flask – A lightweight Python web framework used to create robust and scalable web applications.
  • TailwindCSS – A utility-first CSS framework that provides pre-defined classes to build modern, responsive designs quickly.
  • ThreeJS – A JavaScript library that makes it easy to create and display 3D graphics in the browser using WebGL.
  • WebGL – A web standard for rendering interactive 2D and 3D graphics within any compatible browser, without needing plugins.
  • HTMX – htmx is a lightweight JavaScript library that allows you to build modern web applications with minimal JavaScript by enabling HTML to handle much of the dynamic behavior.
  • LightGallery – A lightweight, modular JavaScript plugin for creating image and video lightbox galleries.
  • adimail/web-minifier – Perl script build by our team for JS and CSS minification. This script minifies JavaScript and CSS files by removing comments, unnecessary whitespace, and optimizing values.
